Almost half (46 percent) of Swedish travelers spend several days researching before a trip abroad.
13 percent even say they spend a week or more researching information before booking their trip. Only 5 percent spend around an hour researching, according to a Ticket survey conducted by Sifo.
Booking a trip abroad can be a jungle. There are many choices, for example, which country or city to go to for the holiday, which flight options are available, which type of accommodation best suits your wishes and needs and, not least, which activities and excursions are available to explore at the destination? It is therefore not particularly surprising that the vast majority of Swedish travellers spend many hours researching before booking a holiday abroad. Information on everything from flights to accommodation, excursions and restaurants at the destination is searched through, in order to get a clear picture of all the options.
– Looking for information before a trip abroad can be incredibly fun. You get the chance to both see all the exciting travel options and create a clearer picture of what you want to achieve with your vacation, which is good for making the trip as wonderful as possible, says Katarina Daniels, PR and communications manager at Ticket.
How much total time do you generally spend on research before booking your trip abroad?

2. A couple of hours, 24 percent
3. One day, 14 percent
4. One week or more, 13 percent
5. Hesitant, don't know, 12 percent
