May showed a continued decline in Swedish aviation, and the SAS pilot strike had a negative impact. However, the decline was smaller than in April.

Traffic at state-owned Swedavia's ten airports in Sweden decreased by five percent in May to 3.6 million passengers. The pilot strike at SAS had a negative impact.

The total number of international travelers fell by two percent to just over 2.48 million passengers. The number of domestic travelers fell by 11 percent to approximately 1.2 million.

At Arlanda, international travel decreased by four percent and domestic travel by 12 percent. At Landvetter, the number of international travelers was up two percent while domestic travel fell by 16 percent.
