On behalf of the municipal cooperation body Ett Enat Bohuslän and with funding from the Västra Götaland Region, the West Coast Foundation is the lead agency and is working together with, among others, the municipalities concerned and the Tourist Board to realize the dream of a cycle route through Bohuslän. The route will be approximately 250 km long in total on a stretch with good accessibility to public transport. The West Coast Trail takes you through seven western Swedish municipalities, from Gothenburg to Strömstad via Kungälv, Stenungsund, Uddevalla, Munkedal, and Tanum. Through the west coast's varied landscape from culturally historical farmlands and forests to the sea, the West Coast Trail connects a number of attractions, including Gothenburg, Bohus Fortress, Bohuslän Museum, the world heritage site Tanum rock carvings and Fjällbacka, to name a few.-Everyone who lives in Bohuslän loves Bohuslän and the municipalities' goal is that you should be able to cycle, hike and, as usual, go boating through Bohuslän.
