European airline stocks were trading sharply lower as the continent's stock markets opened. Israel's attacks on Iran have prompted several airlines to change their routes to avoid flying over Israeli, Iranian, Iraqi or Jordanian airspace during the day.
Lufthansa was down over 4 percent in Frankfurt, while France's Air France-KLM fell 5.8 percent in Paris. Norway's Norwegian fell 3.9 percent in Oslo.
In Dublin, Ryanair fell 3.5 percent and in the UK, IAG was down 4.7 percent.
