Air Canada is shutting down 1.7 million users of its flight app after information about around 20,000 customers may have been leaked.

The airline is now urging users to change their passwords on their accounts, reports CBC.
The shutdown is being done as a precaution. The airline stated in an email to its customers that unusual login behavior was recently discovered in the flight app between August 22-24 of this year.

Information that may have been leaked includes users' names, email addresses and phone numbers; no credit card information was leaked, according to the company.
