The German union Verdi will begin negotiations with the low-cost airline Ryanair in Dublin on Wednesday, according to a statement from the union organization.
Through the negotiations, Verdi hopes to increase the wages of around 1,000 cabin crew in Germany. The union also expects Ryanair to recognize German legislation and start paying social security contributions.
Last week saw the largest single-day strike in the airline's history. Pilots from five European countries took part in the strike against Ryanair, which is estimated to have affected 55,000 passengers.
