Every year, the board of Destination Läckö-Kinnekulle selects the "Tourism Company of the Year" award in Destination Läckö-Kinnekulle.
– a scholarship to a business in the tourism industry in Lidköping and Götene municipalities that has excelled during the past year. The award is given to promote entrepreneurship in the tourism industry and reward companies that have contributed to increased tourism and to inspire more people to become entrepreneurs in tourism.

The business that receives the award contributes to Destination Läckö-Kinnekulle's strategies for sustainable tourism development, which means, among other things, that the business is a good ambassador for the tourism industry and contributes to sustainable development and creating an attractive destination for both residents and visitors all year round.

Yesterday, the operations at Läckö Castle were surprised by a delegation from Destination Läckö-Kinnekulle with CEO Anna Ohlin Ek and board members Mathias Andersson from Lidköping Municipality and Rickard Bender, Lundsbrunn resort and spa, who were on site to present the award "Tourism Company of the Year" 2023.

– What a surprise, it really feels great to receive this award! It is especially nice that it is recognized that we are increasingly working to develop new collaborations with different partners, it is very important to us. A big compliment to my employees who are fantastic, it is thanks to them that it is possible to carry out all the activities and be able to offer the great program we have during the year, says Jan Malmgren, CEO of Läckö Castle.

The Tourism Company of the Year award in Destination Läckö-Kinnekulle 2023 is awarded to the Läckö Castle Foundation with the following justification:

”"The Tourism Company of the Year 2023 award goes to the Läckö Castle Foundation, which with its multifaceted activities attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. In addition to the obvious crown jewel, Läckö Castle, the foundation has created a destination within the destination with the Victoriahuset Nature Room, hotel, guest harbor and camping, as well as being a dynamic event venue for both its own production and for other event organizers.".

The operations at Läckö Castle are significant for the entire local tourism industry and are a place where companies develop. In 2023, the Hvita Hjorten restaurant was re-recruited and Café Trulsson opened at Läckö. The operations are also committed to and contribute to the overall development of the destination, which is reflected in the work with sustainable transport and the development of hiking and cycling trails.

The year at Läckö has been filled with magic with major events such as Benjamin Ingrosso and the opera Macbeth in combination with the wide range of exhibitions, dining adventures, lectures and family activities at the castle, in Naturum and with other actors that together act as an engine for visitor flows all year round.”

According to the press release.
