Liza Axén has been recruited to the role of HR Director for Scandic Sweden. Liza most recently came from ISS Facility Services, in Singapore, where she was People & Culture Director. Liza will take up the role on August 26 and will be part of Scandic Sweden's management team.
It is now clear that Liza Axén will take up the role of HR Director for Scandic Sweden on August 26. Liza will be responsible for HR work for the company's 89 hotels in Sweden, the Swedish support office, while also being responsible for strategically developing the organization and structure.
– Liza's solid experience from the hospitality industry, travel industry and real estate services will be extremely valuable in driving development within important strategic HR issues in Scandic Sweden. In addition, I see that Liza's personality and drive match well with our values and our culture. Liza has worked as a leader for 20 years. Today she works as People & Culture Director for ISS Facility Services in Singapore where she is responsible for the HR department with around forty employees supporting the approximately 8,500 employees, and before that she has held other senior positions within ISS. Liza also has broad experience from the hospitality and travel industry from companies such as Gröna Lund, Parks & Resorts Scandinavia and TUI Nordic.
– I started my career as a hotel receptionist and conference hostess and have always felt a strong sense of belonging to the industry. Now we are returning from Singapore with valuable experiences and I am looking forward to the next chapter at Scandic. For me it is a feeling of ”coming home” in a double sense and I am very much looking forward to driving and developing HR's important work, says Liza Axén.
Liza will take up her position on August 26th, when she joins Scandic Sweden's management team. Until August, Christine Lindgren will continue in her role as acting HR Director at Scandic Sweden.
