Taxi giant Uber is to reduce its workforce by about 10 percent, or 3,300 people, Bloomberg reports, citing an email from Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.
Managers are particularly hard hit by the reorganization, and according to Bloomberg, around 20 percent of all management positions at the company will be eliminated.
After the cuts, Uber will have just under 30,000 employees, which is the same level as in 2021.
The stock rose 2 percent in Wednesday's US pre-trade.
