In the summer of 2026, Malta will be filled with festivals where music, culinary experiences, and Maltese wine traditions will take place in everything from Valletta's gardens to Ta’ Qali National Park.
During the summer months, Malta transforms into one of the Mediterranean's most festival-intensive destinations. Major international music acts share the spotlight with local food and wine festivals set against historic backdrops across the islands of Malta and Gozo. The season gradually builds from June to August, when the events calendar reaches its absolute peak. Here, we have compiled some of the most important festivals for summer 2026.
The starting shot goes off with electronic music and afrobeats

The Farsons Beer Festival is also held in Ta’ Qali the same month. In Valletta, the Marsovin Summer Wine Festival is also held in Hastings Gardens on , where the focus is on Maltese wines and food with views of the harbour.
Malta's longest-running wine festival
August becomes the most intense festival month of the summer. This is when, among other things, the Delicata Classic Wine Festival takes place in the Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta, which is Malta's oldest ongoing wine festival. Between 7–9 August, the country's wine traditions are showcased, as are food and music.
For two days, 11 and 15 August, Summer Daze is bringing together big names in pop and electronic music. This year's two major headliners are Lewis Capaldi and Calvin Harris.
At the same time, from 12–15 August, Glitch Festival also takes place, which has a clear focus on techno and dance music. Across a total of nine different stages, the festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year with acts such as Amelie Lens and Ben Klock & Rødhåd.
