TUI is reintroducing Goa to its Swedish travel offer for the winter of 2026/2027. The Indian destination is thus making a comeback for the tour operator after several years of absence, while TUI sees continued strong interest in travel to Asia.

Goa is located on the west coast of India and is primarily known as a beach destination, but TUI also highlights the area's culture, food and historical heritage.

The destination's Portuguese history has left its mark on architecture and food culture, alongside Indian traditions.

“Asia continues to be a strong travel trend, not least among travelers looking for new experiences beyond the classic holiday destinations. Goa is an incredibly diverse destination that combines beautiful beaches with a colorful food culture,” says Dian Martinez Valencia, Communications Manager at TUI.

Returning to the Swedish market

Goa has not been in TUI's Swedish offering for several years. The return takes place ahead of the 2026/2027 winter season and broadens the organizer's range of Asian destinations.

In addition to beaches, the area offers historic churches and temples, local markets and a regional cuisine with both Indian and Portuguese influences.

The winter months are an important travel period for Goa. According to TUI, the temperature is usually around 30 degrees, while the climate is warm and dry.
