Some suspicious containers that caused several hours of closure at Landvetter Airport in October turned out to contain yogurt and honey.

It was a 20-year-old man with a German passport, originally from Syria, who tried to bring a bottle and two cans through the security check, GT reports.

There they noticed that they smelled bad, almost burnt, and measuring instruments indicated explosives.

The airport was evacuated, flights were cancelled and rerouted, and the 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted terrorist offences. He was later arrested under the heading of attempted public destruction.

After the bottle and jars were transported away in a bomb truck, it was determined that they contained yogurt and honey.

The 20-year-old, whose father had packed groceries, received a new plane ticket from the police, writes GT.
