It is clear that Ystad Saltsjöbad has won the award as Sweden's best resort in the international World Travel Awards competition.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to reward and recognize the hospitality and tourism industry by presenting awards in several categories each year. The grand awards ceremony is held at the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin. The winners are selected by an international jury of qualified travel and hospitality professionals, along with votes from guests and people interested in hotel experiences.

Ystad Saltsjöbad was the first destination that ESS Group created in 2007. Today, the destination with its 139 rooms and 12 meeting rooms, not to forget our Villa Strandvägen with 7 rooms, which is an additional part of the destination. They have had a common constant high occupancy year after year. Bench Mark Alliance, which publishes the top list of the highest occupied hotels in Sweden, noted in 2023 that Ystad Saltsjöbad landed at 98.2%.

The World Travel Awards gala was held on March 6th at the Ritz-Carlton in Berlin and Ystad Saltsjöbad was awarded the prize as "Sweden's leading resort hotel.".
