AVIAREPS Nordic appointed as representative for Air India in the Nordics

AVIAREPS has been appointed General Sales Agent (GSA) for Air India in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland.

This partnership will help travellers from the Nordic region gain better access to Air India's international network via Copenhagen, and connect seamlessly between Air India's partner airlines and Air India's direct flights to India and beyond.

Air India currently flies direct between Copenhagen and Delhi four times a week, with convenient connections from Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland to Delhi and many other Indian cities. Air India's direct flights also connect to destinations in Asia and Australia, including Kathmandu, Bangkok, Phuket, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney.

Air India flies the Delhi-Copenhagen route with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which has 18 flat-bed seats in business class and 236 comfortable seats in economy class.

Air India flies direct to Delhi from nine airports in seven countries in Europe, namely Amsterdam, Birmingham, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Milan, Paris and Vienna.

As part of Air India's post-privatisation restructuring, the airline is undergoing significant changes across its functions and organisation. The airline has begun taking delivery of its record-breaking new aircraft orders. 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, including its first Airbus A350 aircraft with premium cabin products.

A $400 million programme is planned to start in mid-2024 for a complete refurbishment of the interiors of Air India's existing long-haul fleet. This initiative will bring about major changes with new seats in every cabin as well as a new in-flight entertainment system.
