Saudi Arabia's low-cost airline flyadeal is expanding its international network and is now launching its first scheduled flights to India. From July 1, 2026, daily direct flights will commence between Riyadh and Hyderabad.
The new route will be Flyadeals' first regular service to the Indian market and marks an important step in the airline's long-term expansion strategy.
India is an important addition to our international network and a central part of Saudia Group's long-term strategy, says Sanjiv Kapoor, acting CEO of flyadeal and chief strategy officer at Saudia Group.
Hyderabad is one of India's leading technology and innovation hubs, and in recent years it has developed into a significant centre for the IT, aerospace, and defence industries.
The flights will be operated with Airbus A320neo aircraft with 186 seats in economy class. Onboard, guests can expect USB charging at every seat and Airbus's Airspace cabin, among other features.
Flyadeal has previously operated special pilgrimage flights to Saudi Arabia from India for Hajj and Umrah, but this will be the first time the company offers regular scheduled services between the countries.
The company also states that another Indian destination will be announced soon.
India thus becomes an important addition to flyadeal's growing international network, which already includes destinations in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, and Pakistan, among others.
Flyadeal currently has a fleet of 46 Airbus A320 aircraft and plans to more than double both its fleet and its network of destinations by 2030, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
