The beloved children's book characters Pelle Svanslös and Maja Gräddnos will be ship's treasures on the Baltic Sea cruiser Birka Gotland starting this summer. Sagogränd AB, which manages the rights to Pelle Svanslös and whose owner is a co-owner of Parks and Resorts, has signed a two-year agreement with Birka Gotland with an option for an additional year. – We are proud to be able to take Pelle out on new adventures together with Birka Gotland, says Mattias Banker, Chairman of the Board of Sagogränd.

Birka Gotland is Sweden's new pleasure cruiser that offers experiences and entertainment on the Baltic Sea every day. Ahead of the summer high season, Birka Gotland is now launching a completely new children's concept, where all families with children can meet Pelle Svanslös and Maja Gräddnos as the characters move freely on board the ship. The ship also offers everything from specially written entertainment to treasure hunts, Pelle's Play Market and a pop-up shop with an expanded children's selection. With Pelle's Superarmband, children get a free drink and a Pelle Svanslös ice cream, the buffet restaurant Sjösalen serves the Pelle Svanslös characters' favorite dishes, and there are soft toys, caps and water bottles for sale, as well as Camilla Läckberg's newly written Pelle Svanslös book.

– That Pelle Svanslös is now allowed to sail on the Baltic Sea feels absolutely right. He is a beloved character who has taught children for generations to dare to be brave, stand up for what is right and be curious about the world around them. These values are perfect for little adventurers at sea and we are proud to be able to take Pelle out on new adventures together with Birka Gotland, says Mattias Banker, Chairman of the Board of Sagogränd and co-owner of Parks and Resorts.

– We will deliver Sweden's premier cruise experience and everyone knows that if the children are happy, the parents will be happy too. That's why we are excited to finally be able to announce that Pelle Svanslös and Maja Gräddnos will be on board all summer starting June 14, and that they will then return to us during all school holiday periods in the future, says Daniela Nikander, Product Manager for Birka Gotland.
