From 30 April you can travel with an SL ticket all year round between Stockholm's inner city and Vaxholm and the surrounding area. All Waxholmsbolaget ships operating on the route are covered, and all types of SL tickets are valid – from single tickets to season tickets.
From April 30th you will be able to travel to Vaxholm all year round with all types of SL tickets on board Waxholmsbolaget's ships. By removing parallel traffic with Waxholmsbolaget and SL, the hope is that this will simplify travel for our passengers.
Which ticket is valid where?
Within what is known as the SL area – from Strömkajen in the inner city to the area around Vaxholm – it is sufficient to travel with an SL ticket. For journeys that go further out into the archipelago, you need to supplement with a Waxholmsbolaget ticket for that part of the journey. For example, if you are travelling from Strömkajen to Gällnö, the SL ticket is valid between Strömkajen and Vaxholm. For the Vaxholm–Gällnö route, you need to buy a Waxholmsbolaget ticket.
Commuter boat line 83 is transferred to Waxholmsbolaget
On April 29, commuter boat line 83 will run its last trips as an SL commuter boat. From April 30, the service will continue, but as part of Waxholmsbolaget's service. The Ö-kort will be valid on all departures.
