TAP Air Portugal continues its positive development and reports a profit for the fourth consecutive year. For 2025, the net profit amounted to 4.1 million euros.
Adjusted for one-time effects related to corporate tax, the result would have amounted to approximately EUR 46 million, according to the company.
Revenue increased to EUR 4.3 billion, an increase of 1.2 percent compared to 2024. At the same time, the airline transported 16.7 million passengers during the year, an increase of 3.4 percent. The cabin factor rose to 84.2 percent.
The result comes despite a challenging market situation with cost increases and continued uncertainty in the industry. TAP highlights in particular strong demand in the second half of the year and increased revenue from maintenance operations.
The company has also completed its restructuring program approved by the EU. The European Commission has confirmed that TAP has fulfilled its commitments and restored its long-term financial viability.
– We delivered stable results despite a challenging year and are strengthening our financial position, says CEO Luís Rodrigues.
Looking ahead to 2026, TAP plans continued growth with a focus on transatlantic routes, particularly to Brazil, and an expansion of operations in Porto. The company is also investing in modernizing its fleet with Airbus NEO aircraft and improving the customer experience.
At the same time, continued strong demand is expected to contribute to higher occupancy, although the development of fuel prices remains a factor of uncertainty.
