The Swedish Pilots' Association (SPF) is warning of industrial action after breaking off negotiations with the Transport Companies, the union writes in a press release.
The collective agreement between the parties expired in March last year and negotiations have been ongoing since then. SPF is leaving the negotiations because they cannot agree on which company the pilots will be employed by.
The union states that they cannot accept that permanent employees are not given the job security that can be expected.
”"Our members at Braathens are forced to work through creative staffing solutions, where people within the group are hired out in several stages through their own staffing companies," the press release states.
The next step in the process may be mediation before a potential conflict breaks out, the association writes.
On Friday evening, called The Swedish Aviation Industry, an association within the Swedish Transport Companies, considered the warning ”remarkable”.
”"We have a completed agreement proposal where we have agreed on the terms, but the Swedish Pilots' Association has nevertheless given notice of conflict. They now want to try to decide how the company should organize its own operations, which is an interference in the right to manage and distribute work as an employer," says Linn Sidén, head of negotiations, Swedish Aviation Industry in a press release.
”"That issue has nothing to do with the collective bargaining negotiations, and it is remarkable that the Swedish Pilots' Association uses the conflict weapon so carelessly."”
